What changed in Maxi, and why.

  1. 2.0October 2026

    Maxi becomes an agent

Maxi 1.0 talked about your goals and suggested cards for you to tap. Maxi 2.0 works with them: it acts on what you say, plans with you and remembers what matters. We rebuilt the coach from the ground up.

    New

    • Maxi acts on what you tell it. "Did my stretching" checks the habit in — no card to tap.
    • Plans that wait for your yes. Maxi drafts milestones, habits and first steps; you add all of it, part of it, or change it in your own words.
    • Maxi sees your whole picture: every goal, milestone, habit, check-in and todo — not just the latest few.
    • Memory you can see. Maxi remembers injuries, schedules and how you like to be spoken to, across conversations.
    • Undo. Anything Maxi deletes can be restored — just ask.
    • A new chat: one calm column, your recent chats in the sidebar, and links straight to the goals and habits Maxi mentions.

    Improved

    • Honest about what it did: Maxi double-checks its answers against what it actually changed, and corrects itself when they don't match.
    • Fewer duplicates: Maxi builds on the goals and habits you already have instead of creating new ones.
    • Feelings before facts: a bad day gets a listener, not a reminder of your todo list.
    • A fresh look for habits and goals: a 12-week log for every habit, progress at a glance, calmer forms.
    • Milestones are always sorted by due date.

    Under the hood

    • From prompt to agent. Maxi 1.0 was a single AI call that wrote a reply. Maxi 2.0 is an agent built on LangGraph: a graph of steps that reads your situation, decides what to do, acts on your real data and checks the result before it answers.
    • It decides before it talks. A first step works out whether you're reporting something, asking for a plan or just want to talk, and takes the matching path.
    • Real tools instead of suggestions. Checking in a habit, moving a due date or archiving a goal are actions Maxi carries out itself, several at once, and retried if something hiccups.
    • Memory on two levels. Each conversation keeps its own state, so a plan waiting for your yes survives a reload. What matters about you is kept across conversations, in a memory you can see and delete.
    • Plans that pause for you. The agent stops mid-run, waits for your answer (yes, part of it, or a change in your own words) and picks up exactly where it left off.
    • A check step for every answer. Before you see a reply, Maxi compares what it says with what it actually changed.

    Coming next

    • Maxi 2.0 in the iOS app.
    • Streaks that count weeks, not just days — so "3× a week" gets a streak too.
